Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position may collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operation.
Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
Pick up customer returns (e.g., new, warranty, cores) and fill out the driver return slip.
Communicate customer needs or problems to store management; report vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day; clock in/out per policy.
Assist with other duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and processing core returns as needed.
May occasionally assist customers as cashier or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
Qualifications
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Required: Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Required: Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
Required: Driving record must meet the company's standard (14/18-point system).
Required: Legally required state driver's license and driving eligibility.
Desired: Familiar with automotive parts.
Desired: Ability to operate other light store equipment; multilingual ability (Spanish highly desired).
Compensation Compensation Pay Range $11.13 - $20.00 per hour
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums as applicable to schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
