Overview

Project Manager position at Cumming Group supporting a diverse client portfolio in our Waco, TX office. The Project Manager manages multiple projects and/or large, complex, higher-cost projects, coordinating the project team and communications with the client, and managing scope, cost, and schedule objectives for the project as a whole. The role requires delivering high-quality project management with professionalism on complex assignments. Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost. Value engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equivalent. Manage on-site project stakeholders and prepare the Project Management Plan and fee budget/proposal at project outset. Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s goals and expectations to all project team members. Develop and communicate action plans that guide the project team from the initial Project Management Plan onward. Re-evaluate contract scope of work as the project progresses and recommend adjustments as needed. Coordinate with cost management for cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation. Organize and maintain project team processes and document management. Drive the permitting process by preparing team documents for submission to local, state, and federal agencies and facilitate timely permit progression. Ensure design management aligns with client documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and design standards. Prepare cost and revenue projections and perform constructability reviews to assess build plan reasonability. Develop and lead design management, procurement strategies, construction, fit-out, and closeout activities. Contribute to contracts and claim negotiations and manage budget development and oversight. Lead larger, more complex projects and effectively delegate tasks to the project management team. Oversee the entitlement process for unoccupied construction sites to obtain appropriate zoning. Lead the vision for project procedures and processes to run projects efficiently. Other duties as assigned and attendance during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge and experience planning, managing, and coordinating all aspects of project scope and cost for multiple projects. Ability to monitor and re-evaluate scope and recommend adjustments when necessary. Experience collaborating with cost management to provide accurate cost estimates, cost studies, and budget reconciliation. Experience with Value Engineering and creative, resourceful problem solving in compressed timeframes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of how your role contributes to organizational goals and a commitment to quality work product. Self-accountability to individual and team goals and the ability to collaborate with peers, leaders, and clients. Commitment to ongoing self-development to enhance skills and career progression. Education & Experience

Education: BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field. Experience: 6+ years of project management, engineering, or construction management experience. Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED. Benefits
