The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building a portfolio of target customers, educating them about the company’s services, and pursuing opportunities for growth. This role involves interacting with potential customers (owners, property managers, consulting engineers) through various campaigns and events to develop market differentiation. The position requires motivation and drive to develop new business, gather project information, and coordinate with the estimating team for proposals. Supervisory Responsibilities
None. Duties/Responsibilities
Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers. Develop a pipeline of new customers and projects via direct or indirect contact and prospecting. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to implement initiatives, and participate in events, tradeshows, webinars, and conferences. Generate business through outbound activities and research prospects. Qualify inbound leads, prioritize opportunities, and coordinate internal resources to accelerate sales. Maintain understanding of the company's service offerings. Articulate our value proposition to prospects and customers. Nurture prospects through communication and track activity in CRM. Build relationships with stakeholders and represent the company at networking events. Manage KPIs related to sales activity, leads, opportunities, and pipeline. Perform building take-offs for estimating. Prepare proposals and present project documentation for review and negotiation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities
Account development, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and time management skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. High integrity and organizational skills. Flexibility to travel for training and events. Excellent communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, PPT, and presentation skills. Familiarity with drawings, job specs, and site visits for estimates. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree. 3-5 years of experience in construction or waterproofing. Physical Requirements
Sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift 15 pounds. Ability to travel. This job description is subject to change.
