We are looking for a dedicated Contract Manager to negotiate and manage national agreements for the group purchasing organization in the surgery category.

Job Summary and Qualifications As the Contract Manager, you are responsible for negotiating industry-leading national agreements for HealthTrust in the surgery sector.

What you will do in this role

Plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories with guidance from the manager

Demonstrate organizational ability and attention to detail

Translate objectives into project plans for multiple projects and finalize negotiations within designated timeframes

Be highly efficient and productive without sacrificing quality

Learn product categories and how end-users interface with the products

Learn in-depth aspects of the portfolio, including features, benefits, and supplier comparisons

Use supplier knowledge to inform strategies, create leverage, and mitigate risks

Handle categories through SAP (simplified acquisition) or CAP (comprehensive acquisition) processes with guidance as needed

Lead sourcing for assigned portfolio: market research, RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, and launch

Present CAP strategies and final awards to customer-led boards

Oversee supplier relationships during sourcing; participate in supplier reviews and assess new products/technologies

Build stable relationships with internal customers; communicate with stakeholders and suppliers

Coordinate bid process communications and term negotiations with suppliers and internal teams

Collaborate with legal, finance, advisory boards, contract analysts, and portfolio teammates on contract development and launch

Meet or exceed financial and operational goals in the contracting plan

Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of business conduct

Resolve supplier and customer issues escalated by the Portfolio Specialist

Maintain strong customer relationships with internal and external customers

Support HealthTrust audit engagements as needed

What you will need for this role

Accredited Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance)

1–3 years of related experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation/management, supply chain operations, or related fields

Knowledge of surgical products is preferred

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
