Overview
Warehouse Shipping and Receiving (2nd shift) role at MSI. 2nd shift schedule: Monday to Friday 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM, plus 4 Saturdays per month 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM. This is an entry level, full-time, non-exempt position with base pay of $19.00/hr. New hires may earn more based on skills, experience, premium pay differential, overtime hours, and bonuses. Responsibilities
Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet for secure handling of heavy materials. Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed. Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data. Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit. Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise. Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations. Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide loading instructions. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment. Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform additional duties as required or requested. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year of warehouse experience required; forklift experience is a plus. Proficiency with a tablet or iPad. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure. Physical Demands
Regularly required to use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Frequently walk, stand, and occasionally sit. Must regularly lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. This is a safety-sensitive position. Benefits
