The Business Development Manager Hi-Tech is responsible for growing National’s customer base by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities resulting in increased revenue and an expanded market presence.The successful candidate is results orientated with relationships and contacts within the California Hi-Tech industry and has the hunger and drive to exceed expectations. Qualified candidates located in the San Jose or San Francisco area are encouraged to apply especially those who have worked for a Hi-Tech company in a Business Development, a Global Supply Manager or Transportation Manager role. Essential Functions: Identify and target business opportunities to drive results-orientated revenue growth Strategically develop a pipeline designed to grow revenue and increase customer base Provide tailor-made solutions to National Air Cargo customers which includes sea, air and land transports. Work closely with Operations Department to ensure customer’s needs and required service level is met Communicate regularly with Operations and other departments at all National locations Maintain a working knowledge of domestic and international freight routing Create and send marketing materials to potential customers Prepare and deliver tailored presentations that effectively showcase National's offerings, aimed at engaging potential customers, driving interest and fostering long-term business relationships Develop new markets through research, cold calls and conferences to ensure growth and profit for National Air Cargo Maintain a working knowledge of Military freight systems Travel for customer visits, meetings, presentations, and conferences Meet and exceed company revenue expectations Prepares all necessary paperwork and reports including Expense and Sales Reports in a timely manner Manages all customer interactions, contacts and opportunities within CRM tool Coordination of special projects as defined by management Advanced knowledge of international air freight forwarding Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to use and understand technology tools Motivated to work independently with minimal supervision Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships Qualifications : ·Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred ·5-10 years International Freight Forwarding Sales experience Travel Requirements : ·Required to frequently travel for customer visits, meetings, presentations and conferences Seniority level
