Work term: May 28 – June 27, 2024 | Work Hours: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Location: Montgomery, AL
Salary: $50.00 per hour | Funding Source: ESSER Funds – Set aside for summer learning camp | Reports To: Principals

Responsibilities
In order to ensure that second and third-grade students are reading on or above grade level by the end of the summer, the duties of the Summer Learning Literacy Interventionist will include:
Provide small group intervention to all third-grade students that is explicit, systematic, inclusive of detailed explanations, and more extensive opportunities for guided practice, error correction, and feedback.
Complete any necessary paperwork needed to support the Alabama Literacy Act.
Collaborate with the summer principal to create a strategic plan for coaching to support and measure the impact of reading instruction according to the Alabama Literacy Act, the science of reading, summer baseline data, and data from approved early reading assessment systems.
Facilitate data analysis discussions and support teachers by using data to differentiate instruction according to the needs of students by adhering to the framework of tiered instruction.
