Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $92,000.00/yr
About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Real Estate Paralegal
to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
North Carolina real estate law , with at least
five (5) years of experience as a paralegal
and
five (5) years of experience specifically in NC real estate transactions . This position plays a critical role in supporting attorneys with all aspects of residential and/or commercial real estate closings, title work, and transaction management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and organize documentation for residential and commercial real estate closings.
Perform and review title searches, prepare title commitments, and identify title defects or encumbrances.
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, clients, and attorneys to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Draft and review legal documents, including deeds, affidavits, settlement statements, and closing disclosures.
Manage pre-closing, closing, and post-closing processes, ensuring compliance with North Carolina real estate laws and firm procedures.
Maintain organized digital and physical files and assist with disbursement and recording of documents.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, county offices, and other parties involved in transactions.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal.
Minimum 5 years of experience in North Carolina real estate law and transactions.
Thorough understanding of
North Carolina real estate practices, title examination procedures, and closing processes.
Proficiency with
SoftPro, TitleExpress, or similar real estate software , and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
North Carolina
Paralegal Certification
(preferred but not required).
