Gerard Fox Law
The Los Angeles office of Gerard Fox Law P.C. has an immediate opening for an experienced litigation paralegal to join its team. We are looking for a team player who can work independently and handle civil litigation cases at every step from intake to trial.
Responsibilities
Ability to handle complex state and federal filings, detailed knowledge of electronic filing systems such as ECF, TrueFiling, and One Legal.
Ability to draft discovery and discovery response shells (interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production, subpoenas, and preparing deposition binders).
Ability to manage trial preparation including: trial exhibits, trial binders, charts, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and work with vendors on trial needs.
Ability to calculate deadlines in private arbitration, state court and federal court.
Strong ability to multitask and prioritize as you go.
Work as part of a team with coworkers of all levels of experience.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
Solid understanding of state and federal civil litigation, including deadlines, local rules, and judge’s rules.
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of state and federal formatting requirements, and tables of contents and authorities.
High proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
Technological savvy.
Ability to learn quickly, and think and act independently and with minimal supervision.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Salary compensation depends on experience.
