Overview
Norfolk Regional Center – Norfolk, Nebraska. Starting Pay Range: $29.642-$43.696 per hour, plus an additional $3.00/hour facility differential pay for hours worked. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
We are looking for someone to be part of our team as a Certified Master Social Worker. This role involves working with adult patients with mental illness, including those who have sexually offended, at the Norfolk Regional Center.

Job Responsibilities
Perform Master’s level professional social work. Provide individual and group therapy. Determine clients\' needs and provide complex therapeutic services; serve as a member on interdisciplinary teams to participate in treatment planning development.
Initiate and implement discharge planning; manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients.
Communicate through written reports to Mental Health Boards and Courts as needed.
Provide clinical guidance to social workers, direct staff, practicum students, and/or volunteers.
Complete psychosocial assessments upon admission and annually.
Serve as Treatment Plan Coordinator for 4 to 6 patients, working with multidisciplinary treatment team and patient to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and monitor progress on treatment goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Master Social Worker: Master\'s degree in social work and two years of MSW experience.
Master Social Worker:
Master\'s degree in Social Work.
Legal Requirements:
Certification as a Master Social Worker by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is required in accordance with Neb. Rev. Stat. 38-2128.
Other:
Valid driver\'s license. Recent and soon-to-be graduates and provisionally licensed applicants will be considered. Provisionally licensed applicants would start employment as a Master Social Worker at a lesser wage. Incumbents must obtain the required licensure before starting work in this position. We will consider candidates eligible for the license within three months of application. Candidates must obtain a license before the start date.

Knowledge:
theories and methods of social diagnosis and psychosocial assessment; social systems, family systems, systems theory, and social institutions; state and federal laws and regulations affecting social, legal, and health services; crisis intervention theories and techniques; human behavior, growth, and development; professional terminology as related to therapy, psychology, and human services.
Skill in:
observing and interpreting behavior; interviewing clients; listening and understanding information; providing clear communication; conducting differential diagnosis; developing psychosocial evaluations; discussing sensitive topics in a supportive manner; building client strengths; maintaining rapport with clients and families.
Ability to:
conduct psychotherapy of a complex nature; interpret psychosocial phenomena; model professional behavior; communicate across disciplines; mediate negotiations; develop creative discharge plans; write concise reports and correspondence.
