By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE mission, ONE team, the Collector plays a key role in protecting the credit union's assets by managing delinquent loans and overdrawn accounts. This is achieved by providing the highest quality service to both internal and external members, collecting delinquent payments, and recovering collateral when necessary. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Contact delinquent accounts by phone, mail, electronic messaging, etc. to bring the loan/account current. Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers; recommend collection efforts including repossession of collateral when necessary; follow through with required processes. Assist members in filing credit disability and death claims. Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity using credit union systems; meet individual and department goals. Cross‑sell credit union services to members. Provide assistance when legal action is needed, including testifying at legal proceedings. Perform other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements

Act as an ambassador of Park's culture; support the credit union's mission, ensuring words and actions align with the Park VIBE defining core values. Provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers. Maintain complete records of all collection and recovery activity. Ensure collection activity complies with policy and regulations. Maintain delinquency goals set by the Management Team. Promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a professional work environment. Follow security policies and procedures; report discrepancies or suspicious activity promptly. Follow the Bank Secrecy Act and anti‑money laundering policies, run OFAC searches, complete investigative reports and currency transaction reports timely and accurately. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience. Education: High school diploma or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, diplomacy; personal contact with others inside/outside organization; build relationships, seek cooperation. Physical Requirements: Frequently sit, stand, walk short distances; use hands and fingers for counting currency and handling documents; occasional stoop, bend, squat, reach overhead; occasional push/pull office furniture.
