Full or Part-Time Civil Litigation Paralegal
Frazier Law, PLLC, a growing, entrepreneurial business law firm, is seeking a full-time or part-time (~15+ hours a week) experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal. The Paralegal will work with our Senior Litigation Paralegal to provide litigation support to several attorneys, including performing rule-related research, preparing and filing legal documents, helping with discovery projects, and working collaboratively on other firm-related tasks.
Essential Functions
Organize and manage case files
Prepare and proofread correspondence, memoranda, and other documents
Prepare templates and initial drafts of pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and related legal documents
Research law and investigate facts
Review and summarize client documents and documents obtained through discovery
Prepare subpoenas and coordinate service of legal documents
Assist firm attorneys in scheduling and preparing for meetings, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court staff regarding firm matters
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience as a paralegal in an Arizona civil litigation practice environment
Familiarity with legal terminology, legal documents, legal processes, Arizona state and federal Court rules, and various forms of legal filings, including electronic filing requirements in Arizona state and federal courts and American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitration proceedings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office; document, time, and client management software (ideally Clio), electronic filing, and Westlaw
High level of attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
Superior organizational skills including proofreading, filing, and calendaring
Time management skills, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Compensation Compensation is negotiable depending on experience, desired work load and compensation structure, willingness to complete other business tasks outside of traditional Paralegal responsibilities, and related factors, but total compensation could range from
$90,000 - $115,000/year
for a full-time Paralegal, and proportionately less for a part-time position. For full-time paralegals, the firm pays 100% of health insurance plan premiums.
Location At present, Frazier Law, PLLC is a virtual law firm that maintains a physical “virtual office” for mailing, meeting room, and related purposes. Accordingly, the Litigation Paralegal will be expected to work virtually. If Frazier Law, PLLC does lease or buy office space, it intends to implement a flexible “hybrid” work model for its full-time team members.
