Responsibilities
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts and provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, and develops action plans to correct deficiencies and provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, and measuring progress toward results.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
