Civil Design Engineer

Impactful Design Work:
Lead projects in your discipline of expertise (roadways, bridges, water/wastewater, or municipal infrastructure) that enhance safety and community growth
Technical Leadership:
Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality design standards
Hands-On Engineering:
Spend the majority of your time in-office on design deliverables, rather than heavy project management

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop projects in your core discipline (roadway/bridge, water/wastewater, or municipal infrastructure)
Collaborate with project teams and provide occasional support for client presentations or technical Q&A
Mentor and oversee work assignments for junior engineers and technical staff
Utilize Civil 3D for design deliverables; MicroStation experience a plus
Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as AASHTO, MUTCD, ODOT, and municipal design guidelines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; strong EITs with 5+ years of design experience may be considered
5+ years of progressive design experience in at least one of the following areas: Roadway and bridge design (primary need)
Water and wastewater systems
Municipal site design/infrastructure
Proficiency in Civil 3D; familiarity with MicroStation is helpful but not required
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and mentorship
