Position Responsibilities
Surgical Support – Assist veterinarians during procedures and monitor anesthesia for orthopedic and soft‑tissue surgeries
Laboratory Excellence – Perform comprehensive lab work and assist with diagnostic imaging equipment
Medication Management – Safely administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision
Patient Care – Provide compassionate post‑operative and post‑treatment care to ensure patient comfort and recovery
Record Keeping – Maintain accurate, detailed patient treatment records and medical histories
Client Education – Educate pet owners on optimal care practices, preventive health measures, and treatment plans
Prescription Services – Accurately fill and dispense medications
Multi‑Species Experience – Work with small animals (dogs and cats) and potentially large animals (livestock)
Qualifications & Requirements Essential Requirements
Veterinary experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)
Ability to safely and confidently handle both canine and feline patients
Must be available during standard office hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) 9 a.m.–6 p.m. with additional 30–60 minutes for end‑of‑day duties
Reliable transportation to Camp Verde, AZ 86322 (in‑person position)
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification highly preferred (but experienced assistants encouraged to apply)
Strong knowledge of veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
Proficiency in essential technical skills including:
Venipuncture (blood draws)
IV catheterization
Aseptic technique
Anesthesia monitoring
Laboratory procedures
Personal Qualities
Strong work ethic and professional dedication
Excellent communication skills for client education
Compassionate approach to animal care
Good sense of humor and positive attitude (we believe in having fun at work!)
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
