Luminis Health . **Position Objective:** Contributes to the provision of high-quality, cost-effective health care through the direct care of patients and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Understands self-motivation in performing basic nursing care. Participates in the team nursing concept, completing tasks as delegated by the assigned nurse. May be trained to insert IVs on certain shifts/units. Validation of training and skill will be documented upon successful completion. **Essential Job Duties:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides direct care to patients, focusing on personal hygiene, safety, and comfort. Assists with patient admission, including initial assessments and orientation. Supports patient discharge processes and environmental cleaning. Participates in vital signs, intake/output, and data collection; assists with mobilization and positioning. Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition or complaints. Mentors new staff when necessary. Transports medications following policy and ensures medication security. Maintains supplies and equipment levels. Transports patients safely within the facility. Processes medical staff orders and communicates urgent orders appropriately. **Educational/Experience Requirements:** High School Diploma or GED. One year of CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred. Certification in Medical Interpretation required if serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter. **Required License/Certifications:** Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), American Heart Association BLS. **Working Conditions:** Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Heavy physical work involved, with the ability to exert significant force to move objects.
