Beds: 35 Average Census: 22 Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Experience required: 18 months Med/Tele RN exp (Resource Team requirement) Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider Required License, Certification, or Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement) Skills required: Post-op care, Orthopedic experience, TPN, PPN General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience/NIH assessments, Chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps, wound care Medication administration: Cardiac drips (Diltiazem), Heparin, blood products, IV fluids Patient Care and Staffing
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General Med/Surg patients – Stroke, CHF, COPD, Respiratory Illnesses, Diabetes, Post-Surgical, Behavioral Health, etc. Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6, acuity dependent; surge staffing could increase to 1:7-8 Support within the Department: CNA duties within scope; Receptionist/HUC on dayshift; Charge nurse may or may not be in staffing; Phlebotomy; IV/VAT Team on dayshift; Resource Nurse as staffing allows; RT, 24/7; Hospitalist, 24/7; Intensivist, 24/7; Telemetry monitoring/tech – RN must read own Tele strips when floated to other units Floating: Will be required to float per region needs – within Stanly - Med/Tele, ICU, PCU (if open), ED; Within region and scope of practice Technology and Equipment

Region: REGION 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)) Float to facilities within region if needed; DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 -

Orientation (facility and unit): NEO; 2 days departmental (we complete 3 days orientation at Stanly) Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other; No call for Travelers Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks Other Notes
