About Facility: 301 Yadkin St. Albemarle, NC, 28001 109 Licensed Beds No Trauma Designation Not a Teaching Hospital – no residents/students Advanced Primary Stroke Center Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: Beds: 27 Minimum Years of Experience: 18 months Med/Tele experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider (Resource Team) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Stroke, COPD, Chest Pain, Altered Mental Status, GI bleed RN: 1:5 Telemetry monitoring/tech: Yes Floating: Will be required to float per region needs – as needed, within scope of practice Responsibilities / Skills
General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience/NIH assessments, Chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management) Medication management: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF Support within the Department: CNA duties (certified), ADLs,Vitals; RNs may assign or supervise as appropriate Phlebotomy, 24/7 RT, 24/7; Hospitalist, 24/7; Telemetry monitoring/tech Technology/Equipment: EMR – Epic; IV Pump – Alaris; Monitors – Philips; Med dispensing – Omnicell Float to facilities within region as needed (within scope of practice) Orientation, Scheduling & Expectations
Orientation: facility and unit (NEO, 2 days departmental) Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other; No call Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays RTO: Up to 6 days off; add time to end of contract if contracted hours cannot be met Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks Scrub Color: Navy Blue; Parking: Free Region & Floating
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) Floating mid-shift: Travel time paid; traveler remains on the clock Decline if not agreeable to floating Company & Contact
