Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Bessemer, MI A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students from PreK through 12th grade in a K‑12 school setting located in Bessemer, MI. This contract position offers a flexible start date (ASAP) and continues through June 5th, 2026, with an anticipated workload of 35 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as an SLP in schools and pediatric healthcare settings, with strong skills in teletherapy as well as direct service delivery. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are preferred. This role involves managing a caseload ranging from 43 to 56 students, with a particular emphasis on a high volume of PreK referrals.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across the PreK‑12 age range.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs.

Deliver therapy services in both push‑in and pull‑out models, including teletherapy sessions when appropriate.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation and comply with school district policies and state regulations.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and professional development.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

SLP certification with current licensure to practice in Michigan.

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare environments.

Ability to manage a large caseload effectively and efficiently.

Familiarity with teletherapy delivery platforms and methods.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
