Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina 29118 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)

Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (3 East)

Start Date: November 4, 2025

End Date: February 3, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1470 - $1570

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Ratio: 1:6-7

Charting System: Epic EHR

Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Parking: Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (required prior to start)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience

BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred

Telemetry competency required

First-time travel nurses welcome

Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

Ability to float within scope to support hospital staffing needs

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease (CAD), seizure, stroke (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), and chronic respiratory disease (CRD)

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage cardiac drips (no titration); respond to rapid response and code teams

Perform central and peripheral line care, chest tube management, wound care, and tracheostomy management

Administer blood products, manage feeding tubes, and provide post-myocardial infarction (MI) and post-cardiac catheterization care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
