Overview
Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (Non-Tenure Track Faculty – Psychiatric/Mental Health) The primary purpose of this role is to provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction of undergraduate level courses. Faculty in this role will provide student advising, student mentoring, recruitment, curriculum development and conduct scholarly activities. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment and service to the School, College, and University as needed. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track position. Organizational context: North Carolina A&T State University is a public land grant research institution with a mission centered on teaching, scholarly activity, and community engagement. The School of Nursing and the College of Health and Human Sciences (HCHHS) offer multiple undergraduate and graduate programs and are involved in interdisciplinary research and program development. Minimum Requirements
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in nursing is required to be hired as a Lecturer. A minimum of a PhD in nursing or DNP are required to be hired as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs. Able to be credentialed to meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing’s educational requirement. Three years clinical experience related to concepts and theories essential in providing nursing care to psychiatric clients. Nurse Education Certification Required License Or Certification
Must hold a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina or have eligibility to obtain North Carolina Registered Nurse License. If candidate is an Advanced Practice Nurse, must hold national certification. Remote/Hybrid Work Arrangement
