Mechanical Engineer – Hemlock, MI
Pay Range:
$35‑$40 per hour, depending on experience. Contract for 3 months with possible extension. 100% onsite. 1st and 2nd shift available.
Job Description
Hands‑on engineering position focused on troubleshooting, installing, debugging and commissioning equipment in a solar wafer start‑up plant.
Independently support floor operations, installations, startup of multiple lines in rapid succession, and testing of equipment.
Assist the team with equipment start‑up, data collection, and modification as needed.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve equipment and product quality.
Support problem‑solving in manufacturing, including root‑cause identification and resolution using engineering tools and methodologies.
Help develop standard work documentation such as SOPs, SOS, job aids and training documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience in equipment troubleshooting within manufacturing.
