Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments. They organize and provide speech-language services in various settings, directing patient participation to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. They facilitate learning of communication and swallowing skills to diminish or remediate disorders, within the scope of practice and professional ethics.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities Supervise CFYs, students, and support personnel as per licensure requirements.
Deliver rehab services effectively and efficiently, adhering to care plans and documentation standards.
Participate in patient care meetings and coordinate with other disciplines for comprehensive care.
Adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Ensure safety and report hazards.
Order and maintain supplies and equipment.
Prioritize patient service, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, recognized by ASHA.
Ability to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments.
Experience or training in areas such as cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, dysphagia, and others. Specialized training in flexible/nasal endoscopy for FEES may be required.
Ability to coordinate equipment and devices, and refer for hearing assessments as needed.
Competence in selecting appropriate activities and evaluating patient progress.
Salary Range USD $55.00 - USD $70.00 per hour.
