Temporary - Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Azul Surgical Arts Temporary, Full-Time - Immediate Opening through approx. early January 2026 Azul has been a nationally awarded, top-producing aesthetics company in the Florida market for over 20 years, growing from a single location to 5 locations operating in Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and now entering the Sarasota market. The ideal candidate for the Registered Nurse position is highly motivated with a passion for the beauty and wellness industry and ready to serve as a brand ambassador for Azul. Requirements Responsibilities
Know the name, use and location of medications, supplies and equipment. Familiar with the use of sterilizer, ultrasonic instrument cleaner, lights, cautery unit, laser, suction, defibrillator, etc. Familiar with organizational policies and procedures. Understand all duties and functions of the pre/post-operative nurse, recovery room nurse, circulating nurse, and scrub nurse technician, sterilization. Know the facility layout and the purpose of the various departments: reception and administration area, dressing rooms, clean and dirty utility room, operating room, recovery room, patient waiting room and consultation areas. Ensure compliance with regulations and the facility\'s standards of quality patient care. Assist in the operating room set-up with the necessary supplies and equipment for each surgical procedure. Assist in the operating room clean-up and decontamination after each surgery. Handle and dispose of Biomedical Waste according to policies and procedures. Assist physician in completing the pre-operative interview consultation and assess a variety of patient needs. Assist physician with all examinations. Familiar with all forms and documents used for patient care and charting. Process and send specimens to the lab. Communicate and interpret physician\'s instructions to patients. Sustain patient crisis, problems and complaints by suggesting solutions. Follow strict traffic control and maintain sterile field and technique in operating and recovery room. Assist physician during surgery. Ensure a smooth flow in the operating room including closure of all wound layers as per surgeon’s directive. Assist in retracting tissues per surgeon’s directive. Coordinate patient care activities for scheduling of procedures. Use of electrocautery both monopolar and bipolar. Clamp, ligation and cutting of tissue, per surgeon’s directive. Assist in placement and suturing of surgical drains. Maintain strict aseptic technique at all times. Transport, process and sterilize instruments and surgical trays according to established policies and procedures. Maintain sterilization records and sterilization quality control records. Perform routine maintenance of the autoclave. Inventory stock and order supplies. Identify and resolve operational problems. Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested. Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliation. Maintain patient confidentiality. Perform related work as required. Clinic Role And Responsibilities Include
Room patient in a timely and comfortable manner Verify patient information and confirm reason for visit Review and record medical history and medications - document in patient chart Prepare patient for examination, measure vital signs Assist physician during medical exam, documenting treatment plan Photograph patients for chart Perform visual field testing Prepare patient for treatment - numbing, sterile prep Prepare cosmetic injectables per practice protocol and physician direction Suture removal and wound checks with supervision Assist with office procedures, post-ops, biopsies, excisions, sterile technique and set-up Prepare specimen for laboratory analysis Sterilize exam room and instruments Assist in Rx ordering and reminders Schedule appointments and surgeries Explain procedures, provide consents and post care instructions to patients in a thoughtful, caring manner This Role Requires The Following Soft Skills
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to communicate clearly and to carry out orders quickly and effectively. Ability to work effectively as a team member within the organization. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected or normal vision and hearing to normal range. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, blood or body fluids.
