Teaching Responsibilities:
Full‑time, 4 lecture courses per semester (8 courses total per 9‑month appointment) or an equivalent combination of lectures and labs. Courses include General Chemistry I/II, Introduction to Forensic Science, Organic Chemistry and other chemistry courses. The instructor will also ensure that essential chemicals and appropriate instrumentation are available for lab courses and will provide support to departmental lecture or lab programs as needed.
Qualifications
This position requires either (1) a master’s degree in chemistry or forensic science and at least six semesters of undergraduate teaching experience (as a graduate teaching assistant or instructor of record) in general chemistry, forensic science, organic chemistry, chemistry for non‑science majors, and/or related laboratory instruction by the appointment start date; or (2) a Ph.D. in chemistry, forensic science, or a closely related discipline by the appointment start date, with evidence of potential for excellence in teaching.
