As a Physical Therapist, you will utilize various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. Because this position requires close interaction, you have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both patients and their families. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 20:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. This position’s home location will be at the Fairview Wellness Center. Additional shifts/work may occur at the Fairview Gemini Center based on the departmental needs of the Fairview Wellness Center and the Fairview Gemini Center.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments.
Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care.
Perform physical therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s age and condition.
Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support caregivers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a clinical area
Experienced and versatile outpatient orthopedic physical therapist
Experience in post‑operative rehab, geriatric rehab and spine rehabilitation

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling, for example, during gait training.
Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm or leg during exercise program.
Sensation to touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient's pulse.
Visual acuity to observe patient's gross movement, gait, etc., in order to analyze biomechanical problems.
Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families who may not be able to read.
Ability to hear or understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.
Mental ability to interpret clinical data for the establishment and implementation of appropriate patient treatment.
Ability to identify and resolve problems using critical thinking and decision‑thinking.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
