As a Physical Therapist at Cleveland Clinic, you will utilize various treatments and exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination in the comfort of their homes. Since this position requires close interaction, you will have the opportunity to build strong patient relationships and enhance their overall experience. Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity and compassion are essential.
This Physical Therapist will cover Tuscarawas County, consisting of the cities of New Philadelphia, Dover, Sugarcreek, Mill, Tuscarawas and Lawrence as well as small villages and townships such as Baltic, Barnhill and Port Washington.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments.
Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care.
Perform physical therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s age and condition.
Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support caregivers.
Maintain complete and up‑to‑date documentation and files at all times regarding patient condition and the effectiveness and timeliness of care and interventions.
Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary assessments of assigned patients.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Valid Driver’s License (VDL) and proof of $100,000/$300,000 automobile insurance coverage
Preferred qualifications
One year of clinical experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist in an acute, rehab or skilled nursing setting

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50
