Final compensation will be determined based on experience. This position is an on-site role, and candidates must be able to work on-site at Firelands - Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. Position Summary

The Manager of Patient Access is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and managing the Patient Access department and for the performance and effectiveness of these department(s). The Manager coaches and develops staff, implements short- and long-term plans to improve customer service and collect quality information. As a subject matter expert, this person provides leadership and contributes to the revenue cycle and organizational goals and ensures regulatory compliance. The Manager of Patient Access works closely with the Director of Patient Access to align processes and procedures with Ensemble Health Partners policies at an assigned facility or market. Job Responsibilities

Directly manage the operations for admitting, registration, and financial services departments at acute care locations. Admitting staff assign accurate MRNs, perform medical necessity/compliance checks, provide patient instructions, collect insurance information, process physician orders, and deliver excellent customer service. Manage Financial Service Representatives and ensure proper accounting processes, cash drawer balance, timely deposits, accurate posting to patient accounts, and proper logs for financial oversight. Develop and manage departmental staffing; prepare monthly reports; establish goals with staff to optimize performance and meet organizational and financial objectives; coordinate employee schedules to ensure adequate daily coverage. Collect, interpret, and communicate performance data using various tools; use data to influence decisions to meet performance goals. Collaborate with internal and external customers and ancillary departments to achieve revenue cycle goals. Assist in developing dyad-reporting for patient access staff; provide training, education, goal-setting, and performance interventions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification Preferred Education

Bachelor\'s Degree or Equivalent Experience in Healthcare Management/Administration Experience We Love

Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in healthcare Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance or call center preferred Experience with Microsoft applications Ability to balance numerous priorities and strong prioritization skills Ability to understand and master multiple computer applications and work with IT to support department needs Awards and Culture
