Behavioral Health Specialist - Phoenix, AZ (FT Front End Days)
Join us as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Connections Health Solutions. In this role, you will provide immediate‑access behavioral health crisis care in a physician‑led, data‑driven environment.
Overview Connections Health Solutions is a leading provider of crisis care, combining medical and recovery‑oriented treatment to stabilize individuals and connect them to community resources.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain safety of individuals and staff.
Conduct security screening and inventory property upon admission.
Educate patients on rights, grievance process, rules, and regulations.
De‑escalate escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques; perform restraints/seclusions as needed.
Lift, move, and transport individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
Assist individuals with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring).
Conduct and document vitals, BAL, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests; report questionable results to RN/Physician.
Attend court‑ordered hearings when subpoenaed; provide testimony as required.
Document all services and significant interactions in the Electronic Health Record.
Maintain cleanliness of the facility and assigned unit; perform light cleaning, collect soiled linen, launder clothing as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health, social services, or related field.
Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated; documentation required before start date.
Preferred
Certified training (Safe Clinch, CPR, First Aid, therapeutic options, etc.).
CNA or Patient Care Tech program completion.
Two years of experience in behavioral health.
BHT certification.
