We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join our team in Grand Prairie, Texas.
What You Will Be Doing
Design and document model and simulation requirements and architecture
Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6‑degree‑of‑freedom (6‑DOF) simulations and effects‑based simulations
Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities
Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C++ models, and tactical software into simulations.
Basic Qualifications
College degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or related field
Active Secret Security Clearance
Willingness to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment
Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB
Experience developing and/or verifying and validating complex vehicle models and simulations (e.g., missile 6‑DOF)
Strong mathematics skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Skills
DOE Secret clearance with investigation date within the last 5 years
Advanced proficiency in C++
Experience operating in Linux environments
Experience with Agile development and DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines
Experience performing GNC assignments such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, servo control algorithms
Experience developing and verifying complex Radio Frequency sensor models
Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses
