Overview
Electronics Engineering Technician – responsible for testing, calibration, and verification of electronic circuits and components using diagnostic tools. Works closely with engineering team on prototype development and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform testing, calibration, and verification of electronic circuits and devices using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
Record, analyze, and report test results, failures, and corrective actions.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical systems to component level.
Assemble and wire electronic components, subassemblies, and prototype systems following schematics and wiring diagrams.
Assist engineers in building, testing, and refining prototype designs and new product developments.
Maintain test logs and equipment calibration records.
Support design and construction of test fixtures, jigs, and diagnostic setups.
Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and quality control standards in laboratory and production activities.
Collaborate with engineering, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
Associate degree or certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in electronic testing, repair, or manufacturing support.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit theory and operation.
Proficiency with test & measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts.
Skilled in soldering and reworking TH and SMT components.
Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and recording test results.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of radio frequency theory and operation.
Experience with data acquisition, test automation, or CAD tools.
Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded systems.
Work Environment Office setting, 8 am to 4:30 pm with a 30‑minute break. Emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration across engineering, warehouse, and quality teams.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire, based in Kansas City, MO.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
