EHS Engineer Opportunity – Entry Level

EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Engineer with 0-2 years of experience in construction safety, EHS, or related field is sought. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and verify compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and project-specific safety requirements. Support the development and implementation of JHAs, Safe Work Plans, and Toolbox Talks. Monitor construction activities (scaffolding, excavation, crane operations, hot work) to ensure safe work practices are followed. Assist in incident investigations; document root cause analysis and corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, permits, and compliance documentation. Provide onboarding and orientation training for new employees and subcontractors. Promote a positive safety culture by engaging workers and encouraging safe behaviors. Support senior EHS staff in implementing site-specific safety programs and corrective action plans. Assist with environmental compliance activities (waste management, stormwater controls, air quality requirements) as needed. Qualifications

0-2 years of experience in construction safety, EHS, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or related field. Basic knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards. Strong observational and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn safety management software. Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and priorities. Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Commitment to fostering a safe and compliant work environment. Nice-to-Haves

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Work Environment
