Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations and leading a team of 30‑50 employees to achieve safety, quality, and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance and set priorities for production leads and floor personnel, maintaining a positive work environment.

Ensure fair and consistent application of all company policies, standards, and procedures.

Maintain compliance with safety policies, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective action.

Maintain compliance with quality, food safety, sanitation policies, standards, procedures, and GMPs.

Meet safety, quality, and cost targets for the department.

Monitor all CIPs and shutdown timelines to ensure alignment with organizational expectations and master sanitation schedule.

Provide daily production data and analyze daily reports, giving written feedback.

Effectively manage employees, monitor daily work performance, and conduct on‑the‑job training.

Lead daily meetings or partner with a Production Lead to conduct daily meetings and communicate clearly about production matters.

Plan work schedules and assignments, ensuring timely completion.

Support employee growth and develop competencies.

Address personnel issues and partner with HR when necessary.

Collaborate with maintenance to drive plant reliability improvements.

Use 6S principles to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

Maintain inventory management standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators Safety (recordable incidents), Right First Time, OEE, Yield, and Downtime.

Position Requirements Education

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred); experience may substitute for a degree.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).

Experience

3+ years as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment.

At least 1 year in a food industry manufacturing setting (preferred).

At least 1 year of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodology (preferred).

Skills

Leadership and employee management.

Commitment to safety and food safety.

Technical knowledge of automated mechanical equipment.

Root‑cause analysis event facilitation.

Adaptability to rapid change.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.

Organizational and time‑management abilities.

Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Physical & Travel Requirements

Lift up to 40 lbs.

Wear appropriate PPE.

Stand for an entire 12‑hour shift.
