Job Summary
Prince Industries is looking for a CNC Machinist in our Swiss Department. The shift is 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, and the candidate must be willing to train on the first shift. Opportunities for overtime are available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate production machinery to print specifications. Perform tasks using established guidelines with limited judgment. Visually and dimensionally inspect production parts for defects and report to the supervisor. Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using measuring instruments. Use statistical process control techniques. Read blueprints and job travelers for information such as dimensions, tolerances, and job rates. Maintain quality, protection, and storage of completed products. Identify necessary tooling required for safe and efficient daily operation. Perform daily preventative maintenance checks and clean the machine as needed. Complete necessary job-related paperwork and maintain good housekeeping in the work area. Qualification Requirements
Ability to recognize and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with the supervisor and co-workers. Ability to comprehend and follow simple oral or written instructions. Ability to perform intermediate shop math skills and calculations. Basic computer skills required for inquiry, data collection, or input. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the production field. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience, apprenticeship, or formal training in CNC Machining. 1-3 years of related CNC machining operation experience in the field. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Physical Job Requirements
Regularly required to stand and reach for 8-10 hours. Frequently required to talk or hear. Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycle work. Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Benefits
