As our Operations Planning Engineer Co-op, you\'ll analyze future operating conditions on the Bulk Electric System and help determine safe and reliable paths for maintenance and new construction. Your work ensures MISO can prepare for the grid of tomorrow. Responsibilities
Analyze future operating conditions on the Bulk Electric System to determine safe and reliable paths for maintenance and new construction. Assist with power system analysis, grid modeling software, contingency analysis, and system studies. Contribute to model validation and operational project support. Qualifications
Education: Some college of Electrical Engineering (required). Undergraduate status (Juniors or Seniors) is typical for this co-op. Experience: Hands-on projects or internships related to grid modeling or system studies (preferred). Skills: Programming experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++) and completion of Power Systems Analysis coursework (preferred).
