Job Summary Responsible for providing support to the Production Planning and Materials functions. The position will support the Planning and Scheduling Manager in the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the schedule for the production lines.

Salary Range: $73,614-$103,528/year + 6% annual bonus

Responsibilities

Reviews SAP planned process orders and plant production schedules to coordinate the review, release and issue of process orders and pick slips in SAP.

Creates process orders in SAP, manages inventory, makes schedule changes in SAP, and issues the filling schedule.

Reviews draft production schedules for capacity and material availability; identifies issues prior to schedule distribution and communicates to appropriate departments.

Supports Operations and Quality departments’ requests for information to include SAP reports, screen prints, MR/DR log information and trending.

Interfaces with departments such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Production, Quality, Quality Control, Label Control, and Packaging Development to prioritize scheduling and manage material change projects.

Runs and analyzes Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) generation reports to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) including scenario planning and builds S&OP supply slides.

Initiates DCRs (Document Change Requests) for Master Recipe and SOP changes.

Acts as the Manager, Planning and Scheduling when absent and performs production planner duties.

Provides analytical and day‑to‑day operational support to all Materials Department functions (Purchasing, Production Planning and Warehousing).

Facilitates routine plant operation and scheduling meetings to ensure all available line time and components meet MPS.

Supports product launch timelines for new and transferred product introduction.

Reviews the Expiring Batch Report to minimize obsolescence.

Alternates Material Review/Destruction Report process, including MRB meetings, issuance, tracking, trending and analysis of MR/DRs.

Handles all SAP PP (Production Planning) functions at the plant and improves data integrity of Material Masters and Recipes.

Analyzes and reports Key Performance Indicators for the Materials Department, including schedule adherence, inventory, and product release timing.

Supports department projects to improve efficiency in the materials department, including product transfers, inventory management, and other complex issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), and production planning.

CSCP certification preferred; working knowledge of personal computers and MS Office required.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems, especially SAP, is required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to track a dynamic production plan.

Ability to work effectively with co‑workers and external contacts to achieve common goals.

High level of attention to detail and task completion orientation.

Strong problem‑solving ability to analyze demand issues and optimize production planning.

Previous scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment with batch records.

Knowledge of production operations (filling and packaging) is a plus.
