Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level Location: 6615 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28405 Pay: $22.75 per hour Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Penske Technician, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on diesel and gas engine vehicles, use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs (including basic diagnostics), and help ensure vehicles are safe for customers. Main Responsibilities

Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for customers Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics Perform preventative maintenance repairs (e.g., tire replacement/rotation, lubrication, and component replacement); some electrical system and cooling system maintenance Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Why Penske is for You

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) Valid driver’s license Problem-solving ability and comfort using tools Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team and outside Basic computer skills Ability to understand and comply with Penske instructions, guidelines, and safety policies (DOT, OSHA) Regular, predictable attendance Must meet DOT requirements for driving Penske and customer vehicles, including MVR checks, DOT physical, and Safety History records; CDL holders will have DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review Willingness to work required schedule and location, complete background checks, pass a drug screen and physical as required by DOT; potential travel for training Note: This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; associates must maintain safety awareness and follow established safety practices. Physical Requirements
