As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. You’ll work on preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You’ll use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics. You’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes and receive industry-certified training to grow your career. Safety and reliability are our top priorities, and you’ll have the support of experienced supervisors and master technicians along with access to major shop tools and a clean facility. Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics Performing preventative maintenance repairs (e.g., replacing/rotating tires), lubrication and replacement of vehicle components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Why Penske is for You

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) Valid driver’s license Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team and outside Basic computer skills Ability to understand and comply with Penske instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information Work adhering to DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies; proper tool, PPE use, and safety practices Regular, predictable, full attendance Role involves driving Penske and customer vehicles; requires a current driver qualification file as per DOT rules, including MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety History records; CDL holders may have additional DOT Drug Screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete Penske employment application, and pass background, drug screen, and physical as required by DOT; potential travel for training Note: This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive.
