We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Transportation Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge team in our Austin, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career by working on a wide range of bridge and transportation structure projects with the guidance and mentorship of experienced engineers. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team developing bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for TXDOT and/or municipal localities.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.

Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and plan sets.

Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications.

Conduct fieldwork including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as needed.

Apply structural engineering principles and software tools to solve complex design challenges.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA to deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program, master’s degree preferred

0-4 years of relevant experience required

Must be able to work independently and in a design group setting

EIT/FE certification preferred
