Unit: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Duration: 13‑week contract
Shift: Day shifts with call required; flexible scheduling between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM
Schedule: 2x8‑hour shifts (6:30 AM‑3:00 PM) and 2x12‑hour shifts (10:30 AM‑11:00 PM) per week
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,760‑$2,830
Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
Charting System: EPIC
Requirements
Active RN license – compact or Ohio state license required
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Minimum 5 years of operating room nursing experience
At least 2 years of dedicated cardiac and vascular OR experience
Minimum 1 year of CVOR nursing experience
At least 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
BLS certification required
EPIC charting experience required
Ability to scrub required
Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Responsibilities
Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, TAVR, TEVAR, and more
Demonstrate proficiency in general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures
Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and universal protocols
Support and mentor other nursing team members as needed
