Perform daily clinical operations of Echocardiography including performing Echocardiograms, entering preliminary interpretation, covering all sites and shifts including call coverage. Level I: Demonstrate proficiency by performing routine and emergency echocardiograms (2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiograms) as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices. Provide echocardiography service at all necessary locations, work variable shifts, weekends, and provide emergent call coverage as scheduled. Operate equipment to perform procedures and obtain optimal diagnostic recordings; utilize transducers, digital networking systems, and off-line analysis systems. Maintain equipment in working order and report malfunctions; perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance. Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologists, including comparisons with previous studies; participate in quality improvement activities and maintain appropriate logs and records. Review department performance, implement changes to improve outcomes, and maintain confidentiality of patients and staff information. Instruct students, fellows, nurses, or health personnel as requested; attend Echo Lab Meetings and related conferences to ensure continuing education and growth. Foster a collaborative work environment within the department. Level II: Actively participate in patient testing, perform routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests as described in Level I. Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound services with independent judgment and real-time/off-line image manipulation. Assist physicians with Echocardiography-guided studies for complex procedures and reduce procedural risks. Support and mentor Cardiac Sonographers and Cardiology Fellows with pre/post procedures and image review. Serve as a preceptor for onboarding new staff and on-site leadership as a Charge Sonographer. Support quality assurance initiatives. Level III: Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound services and procedures (congenital, myocardial mechanics, 3D imaging, stress) with independent judgment. Act as an expert resource to instruct other sonographers and provide education. Conduct quality assurance to ensure sufficient echocardiography data are obtained. Develop and implement exam protocols and provide in-service education and case reviews in collaboration with the Echocardiography Technical Manager. Ensure ICAEL compliance and maintain updated policies, procedures, and staff communications. Prepare ICAEL applications to maintain accredited status. Education and Experience

Education : Graduate or completion of a program that meets eligibility for registry/certification or currently holds required registry/certification. Experience : None required beyond above education/certification requirements. Level I : Must obtain ARDMS certifications as required by each entity within 18 months of employment. Level II : Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer. Level III : Minimum of 4 years' experience within the specialty modality. Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification : ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography; ARDMS/CCI certification within 18 months of hire; BLS certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
