The Division is seeking a dynamic academic Pulmonary/Critical Care physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor ranking. The division is focused on delivering high-quality patient care, scholarship and discovery, and education of medical students and postgraduate trainees. The position emphasizes critical care medicine and outpatient pulmonary medicine and affords opportunities in sleep medicine. The position will be located on The Ohio State University main campus. The Division, led by Division Director Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz, includes clinical opportunities in general pulmonary and critical care medicine, transplant pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine, with opportunities in clinical, translational and basic research and education. Requirements
Successful completion of a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine, Adult Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Qualify for academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience. Faculty Definitions
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) – Titles include assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. Focus is on exemplary clinical care with potential teaching and/or research; not eligible for tenure and appointment terms are typically three to five years. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) – Titles include assistant professor, associate professor, or professor eligible for tenure or who have tenure. Primary focus is on research, service, and teaching; clinical care may be involved for MD/DO/MD-PhD holders. Research Faculty (regardless of rank) – Titles include research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor.
