This role goes beyond routine landscaping, it’s about caring for the health of our plants and turf, keeping the grounds safe and inviting in all weather conditions, and taking pride in supporting the unique atmosphere that makes Notre Dame extraordinary.
What You’ll Do
Turf & Plant Health Care

Snow Removal
Help keep campus safe and accessible during the winter by operating snow plows, BobCat ToolCats, and broom attachments. Apply de-icing materials and respond to snow events with flexibility, including on-call work during holidays and severe weather.
Equipment Operations & Maintenance
Operate and maintain a wide variety of landscape and construction equipment. Perform routine checks and assist with equipment upkeep—your eye for detail keeps everything running smoothly.
Leaf Management
Take part in large-scale campus-wide leaf cleanup efforts in the fall. Operate powerful commercial blowers and trucks to keep the grounds looking their best.
Special Events & Other Duties
