Business Development Representative (BDR)
We seek a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our marketing team. This individual will be highly motivated to create quality sales leads. The BDR will research prospective customers, create outreach through cold calling and emailing, and identify sales opportunities. There is an opportunity to be promoted to an Enterprise Account Executive. As a BDR, you will conduct discovery conversations with potential customers, nurture these prospects, and produce new business through inbound and outbound opportunities. The BDR will also conduct high-level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts to build trust and brand awareness and accelerate growth. We’re a New York City-based software and services firm that’s been the premier pure-play QA and testing organization since 1996. Our client base includes Fortune 500 and midsize firms. The BDR will work within the services division to create consulting opportunities. This position can lead to an Enterprise Account Representative role. Our office is in midtown Manhattan, so our business hours are Eastern. Staff and engineers come into the office periodically, but this is not required for the BDR position—working remotely is acceptable. Responsibilities:
Collaborate and work closely with the marketing and sales teams to implement appropriate lead identification and prospecting strategies. Create and proactively manage the account status and updates in Salesforce. Conduct personalized prospecting to advance and qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media. Conduct needs and issues-based qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned. Consistently exceed individual daily, monthly, and quarterly goals. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferably 1+ year experience in sales prospecting or a strong desire to launch a sales career. Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and LinkedIn. Familiarity with sales software is a plus; Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and Salesloft. The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals. Coachable with a willingness to improve. The ability to deal with and thrive on objections daily. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Compensation
Full-time position with salary + commission + full benefits. Base Pay: $60,000—$70,000 per year + commission. Total Compensation could be > $100,000. What We Provide
