Business Development Representative - Chicago Join Cyera, a leading data security platform, as a Business Development Representative in Chicago. This role focuses on reaching out to prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to educate them on moving away from legacy tools toward a modern data security solution.

THE OPPORTUNITY As a Business Development Representative, you will expand Cyera’s user‑base and qualify B2B sales prospects. Your responsibilities include leveraging lead campaigns, cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach to line up named accounts and support our Enterprise Sales team with high‑potential leads.

WHO YOU ARE You thrive in relationship‑building, are self‑motivated, and can hit the ground running in prospecting and qualifying prospects. You enjoy learning fundamentals of sales and applying strong communication skills in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Use Salesforce and other sales tools, build lead lists, craft outbound messaging, and report results to the sales team.

Prospect into accounts within your territory and find leads to qualify for our Enterprise Sales counterpart.

Initiate sales conversations with key decision makers at target companies.

Manage inbound inquiries and lead management.

Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Cyera Data Security Platform, industry trends, and competition.

Strive to exceed targets for daily activities and monthly/quarterly pipeline goals.

Conduct high‑level conversations with mid and senior‑level executives in the security space.

Continuously improve performance and exceed numbers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work out of Cyera’s office (Chicago).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred: Experience as an SDR/BDR or inside sales professional in a B2B SaaS company.

Preferred: Cloud/data security industry experience.

Preferred: Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and Sales Navigator.

COMPENSATION & BEARNEFITS Cyera offers a competitive salary, equity package, and generous benefits. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 OTE based on experience. Potential for merit increases exists.

Salary range: $60,000 – $90,000 OTE.
