(with allowances included): $130K+ Overview VALIANT Construction LLC is seeking an experienced

Traveling Superintendent

to serve as the senior management representative, overseeing daily construction activities for

U.S. Federal Government Healthcare Construction Projects ranging from $10M to $50M . This role requires a proactive and detailed professional with hands-on experience in construction management, site safety, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have experience with project planning and implementation, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain high-quality workmanship throughout the project life cycle. The Superintendent will work closely with government officials, subcontractors and internal teams to drive project success. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable (LMA) field team(s) – direct reports, subcontractors, and labor crews, ensuring work aligns with federal contract requirements and specifications Effectively conduct and manage project coordination meetings (internal & external) Ensure quality control compliance Monitor all on-site activity, enforce compliance with Davis-Bacon wage requirements, and resolve issues impacting progress Serve as the primary site contact for the Owner’s Representative, Contracting Officer, and on-site government inspectors

Project Execution & Operations

Prepare and update three (3) week lookaheads, coordinating with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project milestones Ensure proper jobsite setup Track progress daily against the baseline schedule, enforce milestone deadlines and proactively report deviations to the Project Manager Schedule labor, equipment, and materials while ensuring compliance with federal security and site access regulations Assist in preparing and submitting change orders per FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and ensure modifications are properly documented Monitor daily subcontractor activities, ensuring site access is coordinated and controlled per federal security requirements Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager, CORs, Subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients (i.e., Government, etc.)

Safety & Compliance

Implement and uphold EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and project-specific safety plans by government standards Lead daily toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings, and hazard analyses to mitigate risk Enforce federal background checks, and badging requirements, ensuring proper access control to restricted areas Keep record of all Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), and safety audits Oversee maintenance, inspections, and proper tracking of all company and rented tools to meet federal compliance

Reporting & Documentation

Develop, track, and close out the pre-final, and final punch list in compliance with contract closeout requirements Update and manage as-built drawings, ensuring accuracy for final government submittals Work with Project Manager(s) to verify certified payroll, daily field reports, and compliance with Davis-Bacon wage requirements Provide progress narratives, work-in-place tracking, and payment application support for government invoicing Complete accurate, timely daily reports, and photos in Procore

Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in construction supervision, with at least three (3) years managing federal projects under USACE, NAVFAC, VA, GSA, or similar Up to date certifications preferred; OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, EM 385-1-1 Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain necessary clearances/badging for secure government sites Physical Demands and Work Environment Frequently required to stand, walk, or sit Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk/listen Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds
