Position Title:
Construction Project Administrator
Compensation:
$78,000 to $126,000 annually DOE

Job Summary
The Construction Project Administrator (CPA) ensures outside plant (OSP) construction meets industry standards and aligns with cost and engineering expectations. The CPA inspects Ziply’s OSP contractor work and guides contract inspectors to meet cost, timeline, and quality goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform aerial and underground inspections, audits of contractors, corrections, and foreign pole transfers in accordance with NESC and Ziply standards.
Assign and dispatch work to contract inspectors via email or online database applications, assisting in resolving NESC or FPT complex issues.
Develop, trial, and implement new processes, documentation, web applications, and field software for NESC inspections and corrections.
Train contract personnel in aerial plant inspection and correction methods and associated field software.
Partner with vendor teams to resolve construction issues such as bore‑throughs, tree trimming, and citizen complaints.
Serve as a municipality liaison, addressing permitting, traffic control, and other community impact concerns.
Process invoices, maintaining project workflow databases and adhering to Ziply accounting guidelines.
Act as first‑level field approval for in‑field changes and collaborate with engineering and vendors for solutions.
Collaborate across disciplines including Business, Consumer, Network Services, and contractors.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in OSP construction and/or OSP engineering.
College degree preferred, but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including functions such as COUNT, COUNTIF, SUBTOTAL, SUM). Ability to develop forms and use hyperlinks.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of NESC, OSP construction techniques, telecom OSP best practices, and safe job site maintenance.
Ability to assess cost‑effective solutions for complex aerial cable problems.
Collaborative, ensuring timely completion, quality, and safety.
Familiarity with Ziply construction unit coding and the NJUNS database.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑priority environment.
Strong leadership, decision‑making, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Independent judgment, multitasking, and deadline management.
Customer‑service orientation and adaptability to changing priorities.
Work Authorization
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US for any employer. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Physical Requirements
The role requires frequent bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and standing. Driving up to 15% of the time within a specific region or territory is required, with safe motor vehicle operation.
Work Environment
Office setting with computer use, keyboard, mouse, and multi‑line telephone system. Mainly modern office environment.
