Harness Health Pharmacy - Materials Manager
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
Job Type: Full-time, Schedule: Mon – Fri Day Shift.
Overview Join Mercy Health as a Materials Manager and help ensure the pharmacy always has the necessary drugs, manage purchasing and inventory, and collaborate with pharmacy teams. This role is responsible for oversight of a team of buyers, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, and maintaining supply while coordinating with system and local pharmacy units.
Essential Job Functions
Manage a team of buyers for pharmaceuticals and pharmacy products.
Process purchase orders, ensuring a minimum supply while accounting for usage and shortages.
Collaborate with system and local pharmacy teams for standard ordering and approval.
Align team to contractual compliance, system programs, and pharmacy savings.
Authorize payment for invoices and manage perpetual inventory system compliance.
Establish plans and processes around current drug shortages.
Maintain daily transactions in the purchasing and ERP system.
Manage pharmacy inventory documentation for DSCSA and 340b compliance.
Guide pharmacy waste and charge discrepancy tracking.
Licensing / Certification
Maintain registration or licensing to operate as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment (current certification required, must be obtained within 12 months if not certified).
Certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
Education
High school diploma or GED (required).
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Work Experience
At least 5 years of pharmacy field or materials management experience (required).

Working Conditions High stress periods and fluctuating workloads, general office environment, occasional exposure to hazardous substances or body fluids, human blood, etc.; requires universal precautions and protective equipment.
