Company Overview
We are working with a growing general contractor with a strong presence across the Rocky Mountain region, specializing in multifamily and build‑to‑rent (BTR) communities. The team is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and driven by delivering high‑quality projects with speed and precision.
Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, coordination, and execution of ground‑up multifamily and BTR projects. The APM will help manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, RFIs, submittals, and ensure smooth communication between office and field. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to advance quickly and gain exposure to preconstruction, buyout, and project delivery.
Compensation Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Annual Bonus and other additional incentives for project incentives, new hire referrals, and business development.
Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day project management activities from preconstruction through close-out
Prepare, track, and maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and procurement logs
Coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, design consultants, and ownership groups to maintain schedule and quality expectations
Support project buyout through scope review, bid leveling, and subcontract drafting
Maintain updated project documentation in Procore (or equivalent project management software)
Review weekly schedules, assist with look-ahead planning, and monitor critical path activities
Participate in OAC and internal team meetings, documenting action items and follow-up tasks
Conduct jobsite walks with Project Manager/Superintendent to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications
Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting throughout the construction lifecycle
Support punch list development, close-out documentation, and turnover packages
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience supporting construction projects; multifamily or ground‑up, high‑volume residential preferred (BTR experience is a huge plus)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
Strong understanding of project plans, specs, and construction documentation workflows
Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Excel
Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
