The position of
Project Leader 2 (Critical Infrastructure Solutions)
is an executive-leadership role responsible for developing and leading project teams to provide expert solutions across various complex projects and industries. This individual must have experience managing $5M - $20M+ projects in Electrical, Critical Power, Power Distribution Systems, and Turnkey Solutions, specifically related to Renovation Projects including normal and emergency power distribution, lighting and lighting control, branch and power feeders, and specialty systems. The
Project Leader 2
is expected to provide overall development, training, and leadership to Junior Project Leadership, Field Superintendents, and Trades personnel, particularly in strategic planning, project implementation, and ownership of project completion. Responsibilities: Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to project team members to ensure effective collaboration and positive work environments. Leads project documentation preparation, including project and manpower requirements, layouts, scheduling, equipment plans, and supporting field employees. Coordinates and leads project kick-off meetings. Develops Work Breakdown Structures with properly assigned work packages and resources to establish baseline plans. Performs site surveys, cost studies, budget forecasting, and manages financial aspects of projects. Identifies opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and best practices. Monitors project scope and performance against plans, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules. Partners with clients to create and manage project schedules as needed. Ensures timely completion of punch lists, as-built drawings, and employee training materials. Maintains positive relationships with leadership and support teams to achieve milestones. Manages permits, licenses, and inspections to ensure compliance within specified timeframes. Qualifications: Minimum 10+ years in the construction or related industry with a Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; preference for Electrical or Mechanical disciplines. Alternatively, 7+ years with a Master's degree in Construction Management or Engineering. Strong knowledge of project management functions, including installation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and prioritization. Experience managing projects in Federal, Local, Commercial, Government, and Transportation sectors valued between $5M - $150M+. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, MS Office, and Excel. Ability to obtain security clearance if required. Desired Skills: Attention to detail and strong writing skills. Exceptional MS Excel skills and experience with scheduling software like MS Project. Technical proficiency in core disciplines of M.C. Dean. Abilities: Extended computer use, sitting, reaching, and manual dexterity. Effective listening, speaking, reading, and problem-solving skills.
